2. Flamingo Gardens, Davie, FL

The Flamingo Gardens are part of the Botanical Garden and Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary. The 3,000 different species include exotic plants like orchids as well as rare native trees that live in subtropical zones. The gardens are not only home to beautiful plants and animal wildlife, but also offer an educational experience. You can find bobcats, eagles, otters or peacocks in the environment! 4. Young At Art Museum, Davie, Florida

The Young At Art Museum is a place of discovery for all ages, inviting guests to experience and learn from exhibits in many different senses. The Davie School was born in 1906 when the continuous dredging of canals increased farming potential. The families that staked their fortunes on these newly reclaimed lands were quick to prioritize education for their children and because they wanted them exposed early, this school opened up its doors soon after opening standards had been set which made it one-of-a kind at what time period. The Old Davie School Historical Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of early pioneers and showcasing many artifacts from their past. It’s home not only for 90 students, but also an interactive learning center where you can learn all about this rich heritage.

7. Buehler Planetarium & Observatory

The Buehler Planetarium & Observatory is a local space exploration landmark that has long inspired children and adults alike to learn more about the stars in our night sky. The observatory, formally known as The Broward College Observatory uses an advanced telescope for viewers at all levels who are interested in seeing deep into outer space! At the observatory, guests can see planets and nebulae in stunning detail so long as they are open to viewing. There are public observing hours every Wednesday from 7 pm through 10 pm.
